Incorporating This Seasons Produce

Some of the ways to enjoy the produce that is freshest right now

  • A fresh fruit platter of cherries, apples, strawberries, apricots, bananas, and avocado.
  • A tray of crisp raw vegetables for dipping, such as carrots, celery, asparagus, and kale.
  • Dried apricots are really good when chopped up and added to a warm wild rice dish.
  • Use raw cabbage, carrots and celery to start off a great Cole slaw dish.
  • Avocado toast
  • Use artichokes for a warm spinach and artichoke dip.
  • Bananas are great for adding a creamy consistency to smoothies and protein shakes.
  • Turn a perfectly ripened avocado into a delicious guacamole.
  • Strawberries, cherries and apples can be made into homemade jams or jellies.
  • Run apples, carrots, and celery through a juicer to make a nicely balanced fresh juice.
Use fresh fruit as a pancake and waffle topper.

Apples make a great homemade apple butter. Check out this recipe here if you would like a simple crock pot recipe.
