Eat Seasonally This Spring

One of the best ways to make sure you are getting enough nutrients from the foods you eat is to eat seasonally. All that really means is that you should be focusing on the foods that are freshest and at their peak nutrient content depending on what season it is.

This graphic below from cleanprogram.com shows what is in season right now. Although March is almost over, these foods will still be in season in April. Incorporating these foods into your meals for the next month or so will help you to get beneficial vitamins and minerals into your diet while they are at their peak.

Ways To Incorporate This Seasons Produce

  • Add grapefruit, oranges, lemons and limes to your water.
  • Use bananas to thicken and add creaminess to your protein shakes.
