I have always avoided talking about health and nutrition on social media platforms because its seems no matter what you say someone says you’re doing it wrong. Vegan or Carnivore? Lift heavy weights or just do cardio? Cut out food groups or all things in moderation? You get the idea. Instead of trying to find the latest new trend, let’s focus on starting some healthy habits.
I have been studying fitness and nutrition for over a decade. I have certifications, degrees, and diplomas in Personal Training, Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Holistic Health, and many others. They have a lot of similarities and plenty of differences, but what they all have in common is they focus on real food, some form of exercise, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep.
If you are looking for a new beginning with your health and fitness, start small. Focus on what you can add to your routine instead of what you have to eliminate. For example, increase your water intake instead of thinking you have to cut out all sugary beverages. As you drink more water, your desire for unhealthy drinks will diminish.
There are plenty of helpful tips and tricks I can share with you about starting some healthy habits, more than I can put in one blog post. I will add more to the Health & Fitness category regularly so check back often.
